Compact State License

As per the regulations in Texas, if you possess a multi-state license from another state, you are permitted to practice nursing in Texas.

License by endorsement

If you do not hold a multi-state license you need to apply for a license by endorsement via the Texas BON online portal and follow the state requirements.

Temporary License Info

Temporary license are issued based on the same application as the permanent license. A Temporary or provisional license are only once in a lifetime and cannot be renewed or extended. See FAQ for more information.
